Letter from Dr. Magharius,

I am writing today to share with you, our community of patients, doctors, and staff about what we are doing at McKenzie Towne Family Dental in the midst of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) threat.

Your care and safety are our main concerns as we continue to deliver dental services and appointments in the midst of (COVID-19).

Preventative measures taken at McKenzie Towne Family Dental:

• All staff, surgeons, doctors, and patients are screened daily for their recent contacts and are required to sanitize their hands prior to entering our facility and when patients and guests arrive for appointments at McKenzie Towne Family Dental.
• Patients and staff are kindly asked to reschedule appointments and surgeries if they have been exposed to someone that has recently returned from a conference or effected area if they do not feel well, or have common cold or flu symptoms.
• Furniture and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Diagnostic equipment is sanitized before and after every use in view of the patient. 
• Our treatment rooms and CPSO-approved operatories have high efficiency (HEPA) filters that eliminate more than 99% of airborne particles.
• The most effective preventive measure we can all take is to practice proper hand hygiene. We provide hand-sanitizers at all points of entry, on all tables, offices and sitting areas.  

Our policies and procedures for maintaining a clean environment for Out-of-Hospital Premises (OHP) meet and exceed those recommended by the Ministry of Health, Alberta Dental Association and College, College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSO), World Health Organization (WHO), and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). 

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your trust and patience as we continue to work our way through this outbreak and meet the challenges together with a commitment to facts, over-speculation, and in the spirit of compassion for others.
